A new showcase for luxury watches in Geneva
The Montres Prestige luxury watch boutique celebrated its reopening in Geneva in style with a late-afternoon cocktail party on September 21. The renowned boutique, which will represent several prestigious watchmakers, opened in Geneva’s prime watchmaking location. Guests at the opening could admire the elegant transformation of the boutique, converted into a true showcase for the magnificent timepieces on display.
Located within the Grand Hôtel Kempinsky, which has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, the Montres Prestige boutique opened its doors on July 6. A team of architects took advantage of every inch of the 90 square meter store to turn it into a warm, welcoming space, both understated and supremely elegant.
Among the prestigious watchmakers represented in the boutique, Audemars Piguet has its own exclusive corner. The latest timepieces created by the Manufacture in Le Brassus are on view in the illuminated windows. ‘It was a strategic move to strengthen our visibility in Geneva,” stated Nicolas Kappenberger, General Manager Switzerland, Audemars Piguet. “The city of Calvin has indeed become a center of sophisticated watchmaking and we are delighted to be in the spotlight there. At the same time that the Montres Prestige boutique was opening, we began work on a new space, located at Place de la Fusterie 12. A former bar and restaurant named Baroque is being transformed into a new Audemars Piguet boutique, dedicated exclusively to the brand. This new sales venue will open its doors in January 2008.”
